Dendé Loft is not a hotel; it is a small compound of adobe houses built out of wood from reforestation areas, and clay mined on site. It is also fitted with a rainwater collection system.

The houses are all surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. The ideas behind the project were to create living spaces that were very much open to the outside, and to maintain the native vegetation around them. .This will help to preserve and protect native wildlife.
